Detailed description

Your area of responsibility:

We offer a state-of-the-art apprenticeship which ensures that you gain practical skills as well as academic knowledge, so you are prepared to start your career in manufacturing. Besides being paid during your training, we also cover the costs for you earn an associate degree as well as national and international credentials.

What will you learn during your apprenticeship?

Mechatronics:

  • the connection between mechanical and electrical components and systems

Technology topics:

  • Set up, troubleshoot and repair mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Wire up motors and drives
  • Use manual and CNC metalworking machinery
  • Choose and carry out joining techniques
  • Install and configure programs for hardware and software components
  • Build, test, modify, and maintain industrial control systems
  • Install, test, modify, and maintain electrical assemblies
  • Read technical diagrams and schematics
  • Choose or develop correct QA test procedures
  • Assemble, disassemble, secure and transport machinery and systems

 

Your technical and personal qualifications:

Duration of training: 3 years, plus 2 years employment guaranteed

Required school leaving certificate:  high school diploma or equivalent

  • Technical interest and understanding
  • Reasoning
  • Manual dexterity
  • Teamwork
  • Good knowledge of mathematics and physics
  • Reliability

In machine assembly, commissioning, monitoring and programming of machines and production systems as well as in customer service at home and abroad.
